Tumescent Liposuction in Texas

from:

Tumescent Liposuction can be done in almost any part of the body because this technique has reduced the amount of blood lost during surgery. People living in the mid-West don’t have travel that far anymore since this be done in the state of Texas.

The person should understand that not everyone is a candidate for this type of procedure. This can only happen if the patient has excess fat in certain areas and if the individual has healthy skin. This will make the recovery process faster for anyone that will undergo this procedure.

This operation will not guarantee that the person will not gain weight after. It is up to the patient afterwards to maintain this by following an exercise program and a regular diet to continue having the reduced weight.

Tumescent liposuction doesn’t require the use of anesthesia normally used on other kinds of liposuction. This is because the tubes used are much smaller than the conventional ones and better chemicals prevent bleeding and bruising.

This procedure is fairly new and invented by Dr. Jeffrey Klein. The chemicals used to prevent too much bleeding and bruising are epinephrine and lidocaine which are first injected into the targeted area.

When the medicine has taken effect, the surgeons will then remove the excess fat from the body. The procedure is quicker and people who are admitted over the weekend can go back to work after only 2 days since stitches were not used during the operation.

The doctors will then give the patient an antibiotic which will be administered in the areas where the tubes were placed to suck the excess fat. A garment also has to be worn for a few days.

It will be a good idea to have someone accompany the patient going to the hospital and going home since the anesthesia used will make the body numb and prevent the person from walking or driving.

The price of tumescent liposuction varies from one patient to the next. The price range is from $2500 to 3500 and is on each targeted area. The only sure thing is that people will find it much cheaper to have it done in Texas instead of other states.

There are some things people should know about tumescent liposuction. Though the recovery and the procedure can be done quickly, there are cases of side effects such as uneven or loose skin, numbness, infections and potential scarring.

Anyone who wants to undergo this procedure will only see the results 6 months after the operation has been completed when the body has fully recovered.

Instead of looking at possible negative effects, the person should look at the bright side. The fat cells that were removed will not come back. This means even if the person gains wait later on, a bulge will not appear in the old spot since the excess will be diverted to other parts of the human body.

The person can do some research by looking at the internet and asking around for a good surgeon in the state of Texas. Once this professional has been found and the tests show the person can go through with it, then the only thing left to do will be to schedule a date.

Tumescent liposuction isn’t covered by insurance. The person should have money ready for this expensive procedure which may have to be done again if follow up procedures are necessary.
